Xenography, The 55th album from David Lee Myers since 1989.

Xenography: verbalizations in a language unknown to the speaker. Perhaps an apt description of a composer producing sounds from a world unseen, electronic music formed from electrical signals—microscopic entities or forces the real nature of which he or she may only guess. Quite unlike the bowing of a violin or the striking of a drum, these sounds have an altogether different origin, one which is perpetually unknown, untouchable. The present collection has been sculpted entirely from raw feedback sources, untamed electron flow incited by sound processors being fed into themselves. From these primary, nearly random impulses, many stages of manipulation follow—effecting, reversing, editing, layering—until a more or less rational result is achieved, at least in the mind of the composer.
